

Albert Joseph Grupico, 85, of Whiting, passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he lived in Manalapan for many years before moving to Whiting in 2006. Albert retired from Mannkraft in Newark as a supervisor after 47 years. He proudly served in the U.S. Army as a Corporal during the Korean War. Albert was a parishioner of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Whiting. Albert devoted his love and support to his family. He loved sharing good times and memories at family gatherings.
He was predeceased by his parents Francesco and Marianna Grupico and his grandson Albert. Surviving are his beloved wife Marie of 61 years; two sons Christopher Grupico and his wife Frances of Mt. Holly and Francesco Grupico and his wife Vivian of Eastampton, NJ; four daughters Marianne Walters and her husband Melvin of TN, Jessie Mathis and her husband James of Little Egg Harbor, Theresa Grupico of Manchester and Diane Grupico of Toms River; two brothers Joseph Grupico and his wife Ellie of FL and Salvatore Grupico and his wife Renee of Long Island, NY; his sister Catherine Scarola of Brooklyn; 12 grandchildren Peter, Veronica, Fatima, Jane and her husband Bernard, Mario, Francesco, David and his wife Pilar, Heather, James, Angela, Krista and Antonio; 9 great grandchildren Andrew, Russell, Derek, Logan, Anthony, Marcus, Anna, Lucas and Martin.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, 115 Lacey Road, Whiting. A Funeral Mass will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 20th at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 30 Schoolhouse Road in Whiting. Burial will follow at Brig. General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to your favorite veterans organization in memory of Albert.
