

Anthony “Tony” Meluso, 88, of the Whiting section of Manchester Twp., passed away peacefully on April 4, 2015 surrounded by family. He was a US Army Veteran, having served in WW II. He was a union Sheet Metal Worker with the American Can Corp., in Jersey City for 25 years, retiring in 1974. He then worked as a Chauffer for Basil Castrovinci Associates for 10 years, retiring in 1984. He was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Union for years. He loved bowling, craps and the horses. Tony was an avid NY Yankees fan and KC Chiefs fan. He loved his family especially his grandchildren. And, “everybody loved Tony.” Born in Jersey City, he resided there most of his life, moving here in 1990. Anthony is predeceased by his brothers, the late Peter Meluso in February of this year and the late Angelo Meluso. Surviving is is loving wife, Anne (nee Morrone) of 59 years, and his children, Anthony Meluso & his wife Sharon, Nancy Luzzi & her husband John, and Anne Marie Schwerdtfeger & her husband Dennis. Tony is also survived by his grandchildren, Anthony Garrett, Danielle, and Dana and great granddaughter Addisyn Elizabeth.
Friends may call on Wednesday, April 8 from 3-8pm and on Thursday, April 9 from 11:30-12:30pm at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 115 Lacey Rd. Whiting, Manchester Twp., 08759. Funeral Services will begin at 12:30pm. Committal will follow at the Brig Gen Wm C Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Provinceline Rd. Wrightstown.
