Evangeline Junker, 91 , of Whiting passed away on Friday at The Pines at Whiting. She was born in Richmond Hill, NY. and moved to Whiting in 1993. Having no children of her own, her concern was for all the children of the world. She worked with Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF), first as a missionary to the Phillippines, then in Oklahoma City, and lastly in New Egypt, NJ. After retiring from CEF she continued as a "prayer warrior," serving on the prayer committees of the World Day Of Prayer, CEF, America's Keswick, and Christian Children's Association (Adventure Pals).
Surviving is her brother Rev. Calvin F. Junker of Petoskey, MI. her sister Audrey R. Thompson of Petaluma, CA., several nieces and nephews, two of the nephews serve as missionaries in Japan, and a dear friend Alice McGovern of Whiting.
There will be a Memorial Service on Wednesday at 11 AM at The Whiting Bible Church in Whiting. The Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, 115 Lacey Road in Whiting is handling the funeral arrangements
