Katherine Ann Dixon

Katherine Ann Dixon, 67, of the Whiting section of Manchester Twp., passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 2, at home surrounded by family. She was a Registered Nurse for 39 years at Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn before retiring in 2009. She was a member of the NY State Nurses Association, was an avid crafter who made candles and loved needle point and crocheting. Above all she loved her family very much. Born in Brooklyn, she resided there most of her life, moving here 6 years ago. Katherine is survived by her husband Fred of 44 years, and their children, Deborah Ann Dixon, a son Michael John Dixon & his wife Marisa, Krista Marie Dixon, and Lauren Elizabeth Dixon. Also surviving are 2 grandchildren, Sarah Haggerty, and Darragh Mulhern and a sister Christina Finn.

Friends may call on Wednesday, September 6 from 4-8pm at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 115 Lacey Rd. Whiting,(Manchester) NJ 08759. A Funeral Liturgy will be offered on Thursday, September 7 at 10:30 am from St Thomas the Apostle RC Church, 61 Amboy Rd., Staten Island, NY 10309. Committal will follow at nearby Resurrection Cemetery, 361 Sharott Ave.
