

Allen was born in Liberty, MS to Allen Powell Sr and Bernice Powell (Flyod). In 1968 he married Rose Wagner. They had two children Yolanda Antoinette Powell and Kenneth Matthew Powell Sr. He later relocated to Wichita Falls, TX with his family and brother. Allen transitioned in Fort Worth, TX. Allen is known for being a hard worker, a man who loves his family, outdoors, music and cruising in his truck. Allen worked in construction for sometime in Detroit, MI and then worked as a Steel worker at Taylor Foundry for 47 years.
Allen is proceeded in death by his parents, wife, children, two brothers Jimmie Lee Powell and Robert Lee Powell and two great grand-daughters Amani Faith-Michelle Moore and Kali Marie Rose Powell . He is survived by his sisters Lizzie O'Neal , Joyce Powell , Linda Holmes, grandchildren Diamond Powell, De'Andra Powell, Kenneth Powell Jr, Kenta Powell, Kenneth Powell 3rd, Dajia Richardson and 14 great grandchildren. On his journey Allen had such a presence of a gentle, loving spirit he gained additional family and friends along the way.
Allen was just a loveable person, he was kind, he was humorous, he was a family man.

A Funeral Service will be held at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Funeral Home, 1917 Archer City Hwy, Wichita Falls, TX 76302, US, on May 2, 2026, at 11:00 am, followed by a Committal Service at the same location on May 2, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm.
