Ayako Ann Steigerwald

Funeral Services will be at 11:00AM on Thursday, June 13, 2013, in the North Chapel at Sheppard Air Force Base. Interment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park in the Garden of Angels. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 in the evening on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home.

Ann Was born February 13, 1939 in Tokyo, Japan to the late Katsuji Yabe and Kimiko Uchino. She married Richard Steigerwald in 1958. They were stationed at Sheppard Air Force Base in 1969 where they resided since. Ann had a life-long career in manufacturing with both Johnson & Johnson and Alcoa Howmet. In her spare time, she enjoyed many years of league bowling, Bingo and fellowship with all of her many long time Japanese friends. She also had an active part in her church parrish on base.

Ann Is survived by her Husband; Richard Steigerwald of Wichita Falls, Sons; Michael Steigerwald of Huntsville, Texas and Steve Steigerwald & wife Christy of Wichita Falls, Daughters; LeeAnn Myer and husband David of Wichita Falls, Susie Haigwood and husband Brian of Allen, Texas, 7 Grandchildren; Brandon, Lindsay, Matt, Taylor, Hayden, Sam and Abby.

For those desiring, we will be meeting at the funeral home Thursday morning at 10:00 AM and going to the North Chapel on Base together.
