Cosme Anzaldua Silva

Master Sergeant Cosme ‘Chick’ Anzaldua Silva, 83, passed away Thursday, December 3, 2015 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Visitation will be held from 6pm to 8pm on Friday, December 4, at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held at 3pm Saturday, December 5, at Hampton Vaughan Chapel.

MSgt Cosme was born on April 13, 1932 to Celedonio and Manuela Silva in Santa Rosa, Texas. He joined the Air Force when he was only 16 years old; serving his country honorably for 22 years. He married Josefina Longoria on January 3, 1953. Cosme was a member of Guadalupe Catholic Church. He enjoyed going to McDonalds in the mornings with his friends, shopping at the flea market on weekends, and loved grocery shopping. He enjoyed watching John Wayne movies. Above all, he loved his family. Cosme was always loved going to see his kids and grandkids play sports, especially football.

Cosme is preceded in death by: his parents, Celedonio Silva and Manuela Anzaldua; son Anthony “Tony” Silva, brothers Cosme Silva, Francisco Silva; step-brothers Reynaldo Vasquez, and Juan Vasquez.

He is survived by; wife, Josefina Silva; children Linda Lee Silva and Brenda K Silva; daughter in law Darla Silva; grandchildren, Jeremy Paul Silva, Christopher Sean Silva, and Jamie Lee Rangel; great-grandchildren, Justin Lee Silva, Jacob John Wadjun, and Brianna Marie Wadjun; brothers, Jesus Vasquez, David Vasquez, Johnny Vasquez, Ramon Vasquez, Daniel Vasquez, and Guadalupe Vasquez; sisters, Eva Vasquez Senk and Eleanor Vasquez Michaels.
