Wichita Falls - George (PopPop) Creacy, 56 of Wichita Falls, gained his heavenly wings on Wednesday, December 2nd.
Son to Arvil and Westa Creacy, George was born February 13th, 1964, in Honolulu, Hawaii. He graduated from Eastwood High School in El Paso, Texas. He was an active member of the Eastwood high baseball team. George was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish, and play golf, passions he soon passed on to his two sons. He also had a passion for four-wheeler riding; he would always take his sons out on the weekend to various spots and ride. PopPop, as his grandkids called him, loved to teach them new things. George proudly served the state of Texas for twenty years as a correctional officer at the Allred Unit. This was more than a job to him; it was a lifestyle. He made many memories and bonds with his coworkers that would last a lifetime. He loved to sit around in his retirement, talk to his friends, and exchange stories from their careers.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Arvil and Westa Creacy of Gatesville, TX, and brother Kendrick of Gatesville, TX. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Connie, son Jared and Jason and wife Mandy, sister Dee and husband Russel, sister Wanda, and brother Avery and wife Janice. He was also survived by four beautiful grandkids Erin, Madi, Brody, and Ben.
