Janet was preceded in death by her parents and her brother James Rodney Mossman III of Wichita Falls.
She is survived by daughters Linda (Jon) Lanier of Denton, Tracy Franklin of Wichita Falls, and Frances (Kelly) Offield of Holiday; sister Debbie (James) Ricks of Arkansas; grandchildren Jon (Angela) Lanier, Ryan (Amanda Worth) Lanier, Heath Kincaid, Shawn (Jansen) Schroeder, and Zachary (Karsten) Offield; and great-grandchildren Sunny Worth-Lanier and Karson Schroeder.
Janet was a devoted mom, Christian and “Granny” to her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Janet was a people person. She would tell her stories and was so interested in everyone she met. She brought light and joy to everyone around her. She enjoyed singing, traveling, playing her harmonica, coloring pictures for family members, friends and staff, and loved to give little gifts from the heart. She bloomed where she was planted and made a difference in the lives of those who knew her. As a young woman, Janet put herself through nursing school and raised her three daughters to be kind and generous. She loved the Lord (and brought others closer to Him), her family and friends, reading and music. In turn, she was loved by all her knew her. While her passing leaves an immense void, we’re so grateful for the sweet and funny memories of her that we will carry forever.
A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at Crestview Memorial Park, at 1 PM.
