Jessie was born on November 8, 1950 in Elk City, Oklahoma to Carl and Willa Faye Wallace Nabours. He had lived in Hastings, Oklahoma for 4 years and was a veteran of the Army. He loved writing poetry and short stories. He also loved music and comedy. He was preceded in death by his beloved dog, Peanut and two brothers.
He is survived by his former spouse: Linda Brummett of Hastings, Oklahoma; his daughters: Terri Pewitt of Lawton, Oklahoma, Sherri Lovett and her husband Kenny of Hastings, Oklahoma, and Michelle Hill of Pleasanton, California; sisters: Jackie Beckwith of Clovis, New Mexico, Delores Murray and husband Jay of Checotah, Oklahoma and Roberta Nabours also of Checotah, Oklahoma; and brothers: Charles Nabours of Clovis, New Mexico and Jimmie Nabours of Aransas Pass, Texas. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, March 16, 2026 at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Funeral Home Chapel.
