Graveside services will be held 10AM Saturday, July 23, 2022 at Crestview Memorial Park in Wichita Falls under the direction of Hampton Vaughan Crestview Funeral Home.
Mr. Whitmire was born April, 15, 1953 in Wichita Falls, TX to Jimmie and Mary Ruth (Johnson) Whitmire. He married Sherry Todd on August 28, 2015. He sold insurance and was owner of the company Whitmire, and Whitmire. He was a member of the Community Church at Possum Kingdom and a member of the Wichita Falls, Country Club.
Survivors include, wife, Sherry Whitmire; 2 adopted children, Amy Ketner and husband Danny, and Adam Whitmire; step son, Shane Steele and wife Angie; 9 grandchildren; his two dogs Wendy and Sugar.
Preceded in death by his parents; sister, Wendy Moran; grandson, Tripp Whitmire; mother-in-law, Mattie Upham.
Serving as pallbearers will be Harry Huttash, Hank Lattimore, Dick Bundy, Bobby Day, Chris Todd, and Terry Reynolds.
