

Johnny was a dedicated member of the VFW and had a passion for fishing, golfing, and riding his motorcycle. He was also a family man and loved playing with his grandchildren. Johnny proudly served in the Navy from December 18, 1969, until his honorable discharge on January 28, 1971. He was known as a Jack of all trades and worked in Auto Upholstery and Maintenance.
He is survived by his partner Teresa Backus, sons Matthew Schenck (wife Alexandra) and Andrew Schenck (wife Kennedy), sisters Brenda Regouby (husband Carl) and Maria Huddleston (husband Bobby), as well as his beloved grandchildren: Jocelyn Watson, Everly Schenck, Juliette Schenck, Alison Schenck, and Elliott Schenck. He is also survived by nieces Tiffany and Michelle, and nephews James, Kelly, Anthony, Chad, R obby, and Louis.
Johnny was preceded in death by his sons John Scott Schenck and Johnny Lee Schenck Jr., sister Sharon Helms Lanham, and parents Carl Schenck and Pauline Poore Lax.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2024, from 5-7pm, with a Chapel service scheduled for Friday, May 31, 2024, at 2pm, both at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Funeral Home and Memorial Park in Wichita Falls, Texas.
