Linda Ann Rodriguez-Ross, 70, passed away peacefully in her sleep Saturday, August 2, 2025, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. She is survived by her mother, Julia Ross; daughter, Melanie Taylor and husband Joe Taylor; daughter, Miranda Rodriguez and wife Autumn Lamphier; sister, Kaye Ross and friend Charles Humphrey; sister, Lora Lawrence; grandchildren, Sgt. Ryan Green, USMC, and Lillian Taylor; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and cats. She is preceded in death by her husband, Albert Rodriguez, and her father, Harvey Linwood Ross.
Faith and family were deeply important to Linda. She sang in her church choir for many years at both Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and Our Lady Queen of Peace. Her Catholic faith was central to everything from how she approached her career to the education of her children at Notre Dame Catholic School. She was a giving person who dedicated her life to the care of others. Linda graduated from LVN school in 1981 and obtained her BSN, RN in 1994. She served her community until her retirement, with over 30 years of providing intensive care, public health, home health, and nursing education.
Linda loved coffee, cats, music, and reading. If there was a dragon involved, she was sure to have read it. Her love of learning and fantasy fueled the imaginations of her sisters and cousins growing up, and passed on to her children and her grandchildren. Anytime you look at the world and see what hopeful, whimsical thing could be instead, her legacy lives on.
