Loretta Hawkins, 83, passed away Monday, August 17, 2015 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, August 19, from 6pm to 8pm at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home. Funeral Services are scheduled for 1pm Thursday, August 20, at Hampton Vaughan.
Loretta was born in Louisville, Mississippi on October 3, 1931 to Ervin and Willie Bell Taylor. She raised her family with husband George Hawkins, moving to Wichita Falls over 50 years ago. Since then, Loretta has become a member of First Baptist Church of Wichita Falls. All through her life, Loretta had a love for shopping and traveling. She went on cruises to Alaska, and Traveled to Europe several times. She graduated from the Bethania School of Nursing and worked till she was 68. She loved her family and never met a stranger.
Loretta is preceded in death by: parents; Ervin and Willie Bell Taylor, husband; George Hawkins, son; Stanley Hawkins, and sister; Frances Parker.
She is survived by: children; Judy (Michael) Cleveland, Carol (Gary) Ritter, and Larry Hawkins, siblings; Gail Tabor and Troy Taylor, grandchildren; Gary Ritter, Kimberly Vannater, Pricilla Craig, Tassie Hawkins, and Destini Hawkins, great-grandchildren; Sierra and Ryan Vannater, Alexis and Nicholas Craig, Braxton and Adleigh Ritter.
