

Margaret Harper, a beloved and cherished member of the Wichita Falls community, passed away on November 28, 2025, at the age of 98. Born on February 13, 1927, in Electra, Texas, to James and Essie (Frieley) Crisp, Margaret was an only child who grew up to be a compassionate, faithful, and devoted individual. She graduated from Wichita Falls High School, carrying with her the values of hard work, honesty, and loyalty that would define her life.
Margaret married John W Harper on December 19, 1944. Together, they built a family, welcoming three children: Bobbi, Jerry, and Carol. Her commitment to family was unwavering, and she was a devoted wife and mother.
A woman of varied interests, Margaret was actively involved in several bowling leagues, traveling to numerous tournaments. She also had a passion for reading, which enriched her life and those around her.
Margaret's dedication extended beyond her family to her community. She was a long-standing member of South Side Baptist Church since 1944, where she served faithfully as the Treasurer for many years. Her involvement in the church was a testament to her loyal and giving spirit.
Preceded in death by her husband John and son Jerry, Margaret leaves behind a legacy of love and strength. She is survived by her two daughters, Bobbi A Hundley and Carol Sullivan, along with 11 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Her family continues to honor her memory and the profound impact she had on their lives.
