Mark Edward Hendrix

Mark Edward Hendrix, 58, of North Richland Hills, TX died unexpectedly Sunday, February 13, 2011. Services have been scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Thursday, February 17, 2011 at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Reverend Bill Pursley. Interment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park.

Mark was born May 6, 1952 in Wichita Falls to Brice E. and Annabelle Alexander Hendrix who preceded him in death. He retired from the United States Army after serving during the Vietnam War and Desert Storm. He married Judy Ann Swafford in Wichita Falls September 22, 1973 and together they raised two sons. He was a member of Emanuel Baptist Church. He loved to fish and to cook. In his teenage years he was a drummer of the band he formed which led to his great love of music throughout his life. He loved his family and especially spending time with his two granddaughters.

Survivors include his loving wife of 37 years, Judy; sons, Michael Hendrix and fiancé, Kristin Reynolds of North Richland Hills, TX, Jimmy and wife Shannon Hendrix of Fort Worth, TX; sister and brother-in-law, Bricelle and Brian Satterfield of Wichita Falls; granddaughters, Zoe Loraine and Hailey Marie; niece Brianna Satterfield; and nephew Justin Satterfield.

Visitation will be held 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m., Thursday, February 17, 2011 prior to the service at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home.

If desired, memorials may be made to Emanuel Baptist Church.
