Matilda S. Hulett

Matilda Sanchez Hulett, 85, passed away Saturday, February 27, 2016 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Services will be at 3pm on Wednesday, March 2, at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home. A Rosary and Visitation will be held from 6pm to 8pm on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at Hampton Vaughan.

Mattie was born on March 14, 1930 in New Braunfels, Texas, to Juan and Manuela Sanchez. Mattie was married to Ira Hulett December 14, 1955, in Vernon, Texas. She was a wonderful homemaker, and traveled the world with Ira and family. She enjoyed church, family, friends and her pets. Mattie took pleasure in shopping, playing bingo, dancing in her younger years, music, and good food. She especially loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Matilda is survived by four children, Brenda Mabbs and husband Merrill, Bobby and wife Kaycie Hulett, Shirley and Joe Hoff, and Donna Love; sister Sabie Tobar; grandchildren, Selden and Carla Drust, John Drust, Melissa and Tony Towndrow, Aaron Hulett, Brittney Love, Brian Love, Kyle and Brittany Hoff, Amanda and Mike Moreno, Ashley Hoff; and 11 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Ira Hulet; 2 brothers Abdon Sanchez and Henry Sanchez; and 4 sisters, Pat Sanchez, Toni Wilson, Vickie Gamez and Olivia Tobar.
