

Raymond Bryan Gordon, 84, of Garland, Texas passed away Sunday, April 3, 2011. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Crestview Memorial Park.
Mr. Gordon was born on September 10, 1926 in Atoka, Oklahoma to Lynn and Leona Gordon. He was raised in Iowa Park and later attended Wichita Falls High School. He excelled in track during that time. After school he entered the U. S. Navy and served in the Pacific during World War II. Raymond married Betty Jo Graham on October 8, 1949 in Henrietta, Texas. He was a member of First Primitive Baptist Church of Wichita Falls. Raymond worked as a manager for Richman Brothers Clothiers (Stein’s Clothiers in Wichita Falls), retiring after 40 years service. He stayed active and loved to fish, hunt, play tennis and especially enjoyed ‘Texas Hold-Em’. Raymond loved his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Jo Gordon, Garland, Texas; daughter Rhoma Hughes, Pasadena, Tx.; sons, Tim Gordon, Garland, Tx. and Paul Gordon, Weatherford, Tx.; grandchildren, Nathan Hughes and wife, Lauren, Pearland, Tx. and Bryan Gordon and wife, Tracy, Fort Riley, KS.; great grandchildren, Aiden and Blake Hughes and Lena and Lexi Gordon; special nephew Don Gordon and wife, Brenda, Arlington, Tx. along with several other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Doyle and Travis.
