Ruth H Mahon

Ruth was born April 16, 1957 in Dingolfing, Germany to Ernst and Edeltraud (Kastl) Ibl. She married Joseph Mahon on July 18, 1975. During their 48 years of marriage, they lived in Texas, Germany, and Minnesota. Upon Joseph’s retirement from the Army in 1994, they settled in Wichita Falls, TX, where she proudly became a US citizen in 2004. Ruth enjoyed spending time with friends and playing the slot machines at the nearby casinos. Some of her favorite activities were trips to Minneapolis to see the Vikings play and visiting family in Germany, Minnesota, Texas, Illinois, and Wisconsin. Many loved Ruth’s cooking, from her German dishes to her many delicious desserts, and especially her pretzel rolls!

Ruth is survived by her husband, Joseph Mahon; daughter, Michelle Savior and husband Terrence, and son, Michael Mahon; sisters, Elisabeth Heid, Ilse Wakley, and Edeltraud Weniger; brother, Ernst Ibl; brother-in-law Edward Mahon and wife Karla; sister-in-law, Judy Fitzgerald and husband Daniel; brother-in-law, Jeffrey Mahon and wife Dennette; and numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Karl-Heinz Ibl; and in-laws, William and Mary Mahon.
