Sandra Harder Boyd

Sandra 'Sandy' Boyd, 82 of Wichita Falls, Texas, passed away on March 17, 2026, after a long courageous battle with cancer. She was born on March 30, 1943 in Galveston, Texas, to Paul and Cynthia Harder.

Sandy began her career in the late 1970s at Wichita General Hospital where she dedicated many years of service before retiring the first time. She moved on to travel and enjoyed her time for a little more than a year. She returned to Texas and worked at RHD Hospital in Dallas, Texas until 2011 at which time she retired for good and returned to Wichita Falls.

During retirement Sandy was busy volunteering at Meals on Wheels, the North Texas Food Pantry and with Hospice. She had a generous heart and never met a stranger. When not volunteering she loved to get together with family and friends to enjoy playing games. Some might say she was a Yahtzee shark.

Sandy was a faithful and active member of Faith Baptist Church.

Sandy was preceded in death by Paul and Cynthia Harder, parents, and Bob Russey, brother in law. She will be missed greatly by the rest of her family. She leaves behind her son, Daren Boyd; grandson, Cody Boyd; twin sister Susan Russey; brother Robert Harder; nephews Steve Masters and wife Cindy, Todd Masters and wife Yvonne, and Kevin Masters and wife Heidi. And many great nieces, great nephews and friends.
