Sandra Sylvia Taylor, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2025, at the age of 73. Born on October 12, 1951, in Wilson, North Carolina, Sandra was one of five children born to Stanford and Clara Richards.
Sandra lived a vibrant life full of love, laughter, and adventure. On July 15, 1972, she married the love of her life, Milton Taylor, and together they traveled the world during his service in the United States Air Force. Eventually, they made their home in Wichita Falls, Texas, where Sandra became a well-known and respected member of the community.
Over the years, Sandra worked at Allred Prison, Walmart, and Sheppard Air Force Base, ultimately retiring from AAFES (Army & Air Force Exchange Service). Known for her hard work, dedication, and infectious personality, she left a lasting impression everywhere she went.
Sandra had a larger-than-life spirit—she lit up every room she entered and touched the hearts of all who knew her. Her love for her family was fierce, unwavering, and unconditional.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Milton Taylor; her granddaughter, Bianca; her great-grandson, Jamari; her parents, Stanford and Clara Richards; her brothers, Donald, Dwight, and Stanford; and her sister, Crystal.
She is lovingly remembered by her son, Orlando Taylor; her grandchildren and their spouses, Jamal and Marche’ Taylor, Craig and Jennifer Tarran, and LaQuia and Thomas McDonald; and her great-grandchildren, Cairo, Kilo, Aubrey, Genevieve, Tommy, Londyn, and Kynlee. She is also survived by Linda Taylor, who remained a meaningful part of her life, along with many more cherished relatives and dear friends.
Sandra’s legacy of strength, joy, and compassion will continue to live on through the many lives she touched. She will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
A visitation for Sandra will be held Monday, July 21, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Funeral Home, 1917 Archer City Hwy, Wichita Falls, TX 76302, followed by a graveside service from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
