

Weiser, Alan Douglas, 64, of Wichita, Kansas, passed away at home on July 16th, 2014. Alan was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie and Marcia Weiser and first wife, Becky. Alan is survived by his son, Shane Weiser of Wichita, Kansas; sisters, Melodee (Bernie) King of Rose Hill, KS, Marla (Ruddy) Rosales, Sue Lunderman, and Christy (Jason) Brack both of Wichita, Kansas; brothers, Johnny (Maryann), Ronnie (Debbie) Weiser, and J.D. Weiser all of Wichita, Kansas; two grandchildren, Acadia and Samm (Chelsea) Weiser; and two great-grandchildren Whyett and Russel Jr. Wildes.
Alan was born on May 8th, 1950 in Wichita, Kansas and in his late adolescence he would attended West High. Alan married Becky in early 1969 and then had their first child, Shane Alan on October 1st, 1969. Alan became self-employed after the birth of Shane, and installed carpet for most of his years thereafter. In the early 80s, Alan would marry Kim Weiser.
Alan enjoyed camping, fishing, and hunting in his early years and in his later years he enjoyed hanging out with his wingman, Lynn Brown and many other friends at Caesar’s Palace. Alan was well known for saying “What ya think little grasshopper?” and he referred to himself as the “Master Grasshopper”.
A Graveside Funeral Service will be held at Resthaven Gardens of Memory in the garden of the Lord’s Prayer 2:00 p.m. Tuesday July 22nd, 2014. After the service the family will be gathering at Golden Corral West. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Make a Wish Foundation. www.wish.org
