Alice Lorraine Coles

Coles, Alice L., Coles entered eternal life on Friday, Oct 30, 2015. Her spirit is carried on by her daughter Patti Rohrback of Wentzville, Missouri, granddaughter Becky Smith (Billy Smith) and their two children Ashlee Bell and Ian also of Wentzville, and grandson Chris Vasquez (Shanna Hein, Lea Helm, Donavan Davis) of Wichita, Ks. Her husband Albert (Roy) L Coles and her two sons Robert Lynn Davis and Steven Neal Davis, and her 3 older brothers and 4 older sisters preceded her in death. With husband Roy she had an extended family with his 2 daughters, many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Alice was born in Fremont County, Iowa on November 8, 1928. Immediately following high school she began working at Southwestern Bell Telephone Company and never let anyone forget she was a proud retiree of 31 years service. She loved her collection of antique phones. After retiring from the phone company, she spent 10 years working at Georgetown Village retirement community. In February of 2013 she sold the home she had enjoyed with Roy and moved into The Regent retirement community in Wichita where she spent two years enjoying playing cards with her many friends there. In May 2015 she moved to be closer to her daughter and granddaughter in Wentzville Missouri, where she continued to enjoy activities with new friends at Twin Oaks. Alice’s family would be honored to have friends join them for visitation at Lakeview Funeral Home and Cemetery in Wichita, Kansas, Friday November 6 at 1:00 pm with services beginning at 2:00 pm. Entombment immediately following.
