Alice Jean Mathis

Alice Jean (Stokes) Mathis went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Saturday, February 20, 2016 . Born October 5, 1933 in Salina, Kansas to George & Grace Stokes. Graduated from Salina High in 1951. Married Billy E. Mathis, Sr. at First Assembly of God, Salina in December 1955. Born to their union were two children, Billy (Joy) Mathis of Ft. Walton Beach, Florida and Barbara (Mark) Johnson of Emporia, Kansas; four grandchildren, Tiffani (Kevin) Holloway, Brittani (Mike) Hinkle, Sylvaine (Kristine) Cooper, Jacob Cooper (proceeded by death 2002); seven great grandchildren: Gabriela Prieto, Miquela Prieto, Michael Holloway, Caronee Holloway, Zoe Olivia Earls, Klaire Cooper, Kent Cooper. Celebration of Life service is schedule for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 27, at Life Church, 1801 Graphic Arts Road, Emporia, Kansas. The Family will receive friends and family starting at 1:00 p.m. The Rev. Tony Lantz will be officiating the service.
