Alicja Opiatowska

She is preceded in death by her parents, Antoni and Czeslawa Opiatowski.

Alicja is survived by her husband, Michael; her siblings: Danuta (Czeslaw) Sokolowski, Zosia (Antoni) Brzozka, Maria (Franciszek) Godlewski, Waclawa (Stanislaw) and Jan (Krystyna); 1 nephew, 3 nieces, 6 great-nieces and 7 great nephews.

A visitation will be held at Resthaven Mortuary, located at 11800 West Highway 54, Wichita, KS, 67209, on January 7, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. A committal service will follow the visitation at Resthaven Gardens of Memory in the Garden of Freedom.

Dear Alicja,

Today we say goodbye with hearts full of sorrow, but also with deep gratitude for your life.

Although distance separated us for many years, you were never absent from our family or from our thoughts.

You moved far away, to another country, where you spent most of your life. There you built your everyday life, your dreams, and your own path. You were strong, brave, and independent — you knew how to live life on your own terms, and that is not always easy.

You left behind your kindness, your memories, and the lasting presence you hold in the hearts of those who knew and loved you. You were a sister, an aunt… and someone who can never be replaced.

Today we feel the pain of not having said everything that was in our hearts. Of how life so often makes us postpone conversations for “later.” But we believe that wherever you are now, you know how deeply you mattered to us.

Thank you for who you were.

For your presence — even when it was sometimes only in our thoughts.

For being part of our story and always remaining a part of it.

Rest in peace, Alicja.

May your journey now be gentle, calm, and full of light.

You will stay with us — in our memories, our thoughts, and our hearts.

We say goodbye to you from the whole family in Poland.

Your parents, Antoni Opiatowski and Czesława née Okulewicz, have already passed away, but their memory lives on in us.

You leave behind four sisters:

Danuta and her husband Czesław Sokołowski,

Zosia and her husband Antoni Brzozka,

Maria and her husband Franciszek Godlewski,

Wacława and her husband Stanisław Berc,

and a brother, Jan, who is married to Krystyna.

Additionally, you leave behind one nephew, three nieces, six grandnieces, and seven grandnephews, who will always remember you with love and gratitude.

Droga Alico,

Dziś żegnamy się z sercami petnymi smutku, ale także gtęboką wdzięcznością za twoje życie.

Chociaż odlegtość dzieliła nas przez wiele lat, nigdy nie byteś nieobecny w naszej rodzinie ani w naszych myślach.

Wyprowadzitaś się daleko, do innego kraju, gdzie spędziłaś większość życia. Tam zbudowataś swoje codzienne życie, marzenia i własną ścieżkę. Bytaś silna, odważna niezależna -wiedziałaś, jak żyć na własnych warunkach, a to nie zawsze jest tatwe.

Zostawiłaś po sobie swoją dobroć, wspomnienia i trwatą obecność, którą nosisz w sercact tych, którzy cię znali i kochali. Bytaś siostrą, ciocią... I kimś, kogo nigdy nie da się zastąpić.

Dzis czujemy ból, że nie powiedzieliśmy wszystkiego, co mieliśmy w sercu. O tym, jak życie tak często każe nam odktadać rozmowy na "później". Ale wierzymy, że gdziekolwiek teraz iestes, wiesz, iak bardzo bvłaś dla nas ważna.

Dziękuję za to, kim bytas.

Za twoją obecność - nawet gdy czasem byta tylko w naszych myślach

Za to, że jesteś częścią naszej historii i zawsze jej częścią

Spoczywaj w pokoju, Alicja.

Niech twoja podróż będzie teraz łagodna, spokojna i petna światta.

Zostaniesz z nami- w naszych wspomnieniach, myślach i sercach.

Zegnamy się z wami w imieniu catej rodziny w Polsce.

Twoi rodzice, Antoni Opiatowski i Czestawa z domu Okulewicz, już nie żyją, ale ich pamięd żyje w nas dalej.

Zostawiasz po sobie cztery siostry:

Danuta i jej mąż Czestaw Sokotowski

Zosia i jej mąż Antoni Brzozka

Maria ijej mąż Franciszek Godlewski,

Wactawa i jej mąż Stanistaw Berc,

oraz brata Jana, który jest żonaty z Krystyną.

Dodatkowo zostawiasz po sobie jednego bratanka,trzy bratanice, sześć siostrzenic siedmiu siostrzeńiców, którzy zawsze będą o tobie pamiętać z mitością i wdzięcznościa.
