Al graduated from North Winneshiek High School, then attended trade school to become a diesel mechanic. He retired as an HVAC technician from Fenix Heating & Cooling. Al enjoyed time on his motorcycle, fishing and ATV riding.
He is preceded in death by his spouse, Tammy Thompson and his parents, Charles Milo Kimber and Alice Mae Muchow.
Al is survived by his siblings: Debra Douglas, Barb (Brad) Kerns, Loren Kimber, Steve (Jean) Kimber, and Linda Kimber; children: Matthew Kimber and Emily Kimber; and grandchild, Eden Kimber.
A memorial service for Alvin will be held Friday, September 6, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 West Highway 54, Wichita, KS 67209.
