

Bahige "Bob" Najeeb Assaf, 74, of Andover, Kansas passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 in Wichita, Kansas. Bob was born the son of Najeeb and Bahia (Richa) Assaf on June 11, 1949 in Roum, Lebanon. Bob and Nancy were united in marriage on August 27, 1983 in Wichita, Kansas. They had three children Andrew, Amanda and Alyson.
Bob grew up in the mountains of the Jezzine region of Lebanon alongside his two sisters, Amal and Mimi. He enjoyed spending time with his mother in their orchards and vineyards where they grew grapes, olives and many fruits. He loved to cook and share his unique and delicious recipes. Bob had a healing ministry which he started after he was healed of stage 4 kidney cancer in 1988. He prayed for many people and touched the lives of most everyone he met with his kindness, infectious sense of humor, and his strong spiritual faith.
Bob attended school in Lebanon and then moved to the United States and completed a Master’s degree in Business Management. He managed Maple Gardens Retirement Community in the 80’s and moved on to real estate in the early 90’s. He built his real estate business over more than thirty years and opened his own brokerage, Park Plaza Realty, in 2014, with his wife, Nancy, daughter, Alyson, and son-in-law, Les, working alongside him.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother, Hameed. Survivors include his wife, Nancy Assaf, children, Andrew Assaf, Amanda (Ariel) Assaf-Plotek, Alyson (Leslie) Assaf, sisters, Amal (Tanos) Aouad and Mimi (Fuad) Kurban, grandchildren, Lincoln Easterby and Leo Easterby, nieces and nephews, Johnny Awwad, Arlette Aouad, Norma Assaf, Shady Awwad, Lena Rouhana, Marianne Kurban Sayah, Katie Harpstrite and Becky Harpstrite and many extended family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established in his name and loving memory to The Lebanon Fund in Memory of Bahige Assaf, care of Go Fund Me (https://gofund.me/842cda43) or direct donation to family.
Celebration of Life Service will be 10 a.m. with viewing time from 9 to 10 a.m. on Friday January 12, 2024 both at Lakeview Funeral Home, 12100 E. 13th St. N., Wichita, KS. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery.
