Barbara J. Bess, retired checker at Safeway, passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2020, at her home in Wichita, Kansas. Barbara was born on July 8, 1927, in Arcadia, Kansas, the daughter of Guy and Alice (Holton) Martin. Survivors include: son, Billy Bess, South Beach, Oregon; daughter, Judy and husband, Mack Hartsell, Conrow, Texas. Graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 12, at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, 11800 W. Highway 54, Wichita, Kansas, in the Garden of The Lord's Prayer.
