Barbara I. Mousley, 92, of Wichita, passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2026. Born on August 5, 1933, in Winfield, Kansas, she was the daughter of Berkey and Margaret Lewis Means.
On March 16, 1952, she was united in marriage to Howard Bruce Mousley in Winfield, Kansas, where they made their home. Barbara was employed at Snyder Clinic as a Medical Record Clerk, retiring in 1994.
Barbara enjoyed camping, visiting the Caribbean, going on cruises (17 to be exact), traveling throughout the country, watching football, attending drum and bugle corp competitions, and of course, her cats. She had a love for anything spicy, all things labeled “dessert” (or just sweet), and last but not least, a good margarita!
Barbara is survived by her children, Tim Mousley (Kerry), Randy Mousley (Carolyn), Robin Mousley, and Jeff Mousley (Carmen); her four grandchildren, Paige McKissick (Branden), Brendan Mousley (Amy), Regan Awbrey (Gabe), and Jace Mousley (Kelsey); her three step-grandchildren, Lara Dunn, Audrey Gann, and Adrienne Kisner; along with several great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her sister Marion; her husband, Bruce; and step-grandson, Daniel.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 28th from 3PM to 5PM, at Shepard’s Crossing Community Center, 6799 Shepard Crossing Street, Bel Aire, Kansas 67226.
