

Bardomiano “Tito” Ortega SR., 80, entered eternal rest on Friday, June 6, 2025. Born in Rio Hondo, Texas, on December 23, 1944, to parents Reymundo and Belen (Garcia) Ortega, Tito later moved to Wichita, Kansas, where he met his future wife, Betty Anne Campa. They were married on May 9, 1970, in Wichita and celebrated a loving 53 years together until her passing in June 2023.
Tito worked as an interior installer for Cessna for 32 years before retiring and was a very skilled upholsterer. He owned his own business, G&T Upholstery, for many years. He loved to garden and cook and was well-known for his tacos and hot sauce. When not working, he was an avid athlete, frequently running marathons and enjoying softball and volleyball. As a teenager, he loved boxing and was a professional boxer in Mexico. Tito was also a devoted husband and a Catholic, who, when not caring for his family, helped others in any way he could.
Preceded in death by his parents, Loving Wife Betty Anne, and siblings Tranquilino, Emilia, Jose Maximino, Antonio, Jose Reymundo, and Adela. He is survived by his children, Bardomiano Tito (Elia) Ortega Jr. and Belinda (Rene) Aleman, eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and siblings Delia, Leandro, Jose Manuel, Maria Del Refugio, and Miguel Angel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in his honor to St. Joseph Catholic Church, located at 132 S Millwood Ave, Wichita, KS 67213. Tito’s wishes were to be cremated with no memorial service.
