Smith, Beatrice (Bea) R., 94, passed peacefully with family at her side on Friday November 4, 2011. Born March 4, 1917 to Lillian and Clarence Herron in Goddard, KS, Bea lived and raised her family in Wichita. Bea was a homemaker, wife and mother of six children. She was preceded in death by loving husband of 54 years, James Dewey Smith and son Glenn E. Wallace. Survivors are sons James D. (Lani) Smith of Wichita, Robert C. (Leona) Smith of Harsens Island, MI, Tommy (Vickie) Smith of Dawsonville, GA and daughters Willenna (Bruce) Schneider of Florence, CO and Lillian E. Smith of Wichita. Other survivors are 17 grandchildren as well as many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Bea loved spending time with family and will be missed by all those who loved and cared for her. The family would like to extend a very special thank you to the staff at Homestead Health Center who provided care with love and compassion for over seven years. Viewing with family present will be Monday, November 7 from 6-8 p.m. at Resthaven Mortuary with funeral and burial at Resthaven on
