She married the love of her life Carol Belt on June 21, 1957. Together they shared 66 years of marriage. Betty worked as an electric assistant for Cessna and retired after 25 years.
Betty loved gardening, bowling, painting, and wood carving. Betty and Carol were active volunteers at the canteen for the Salvation Army and Sedgwick County Emergency Response team. She was faithful member to the West Haysville Baptist Church where she was a bookkeeper for many years. Betty cherished her family. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband Carol Belt; two children John (Crystal) Belt and Jeff (Allison) Belt; five grandchildren, Brandon (Sarah) Belt, Seth (Emilee) Belt, Jesse (Ashley) Belt, Eric, and Samantha; seven great-grandchildren; one brother Jack (Charlotte) Norris.
A visitation will be held on Thursday December 21, 2023, from 5PM-7PM at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 W. Highway 54, Wichita, Kansas 67209. A graveside service will occur on Friday December 22, 2023, at 10AM at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, 11800 W. Highway 54, Wichita, Kansas 67209. A luncheon will be held immediately following at West Haysville Baptist Church, 141 N. Lamar, Haysville, Kansas 67060.
