Born August 28, 1962 to David E and Geraldine L. (Thomas) Reeves, Brad lived his entire life in Wichita, KS. He was a lifelong and faithful member of Westside Baptist Church, a local body that he cherished being amongst.
Virtually everyone that ever watched Brad work as janitor at his church remarked on his incredible work ethic; he took enormous pride in diligently completing even the most mundane tasks thoroughly and always with a smile on his face.
Brad loved having fun and had a deep and genuine laugh that many around him found infectious. Two favorite pastimes were fishing and watching and listening to locomotive trains. Brad especially enjoyed intimate dining out at Wichita restaurants with family and friends and casually watching evening television.
Brad never enjoyed a life free from health issues and his moderate autism, diagnosed from a young age, was a persistent plague throughout. Trying to find the correct balance of medications was always a struggle but rarely dampened his enthusiastic love of life. In the end, he succumbed to chronic kidney disease and cirrhosis of the liver.
Brad is survived by his brothers, Gregory W. (Kathryn A.) Reeves of Rapid City, SD, and Kirt F. Reeves (Dee) of Wichita, KS and nieces Emily K. Elias (Paul) of Bozeman, MT and Amanda K. Lucera (Dennis) of New Haven, CT.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, and an eldest brother, Douglas Kent Reeves who died as an infant.
An interment service for the family and friends is planned for Friday, June 5, 2026, 10am at Greenwood Cemetery, 6231 W 47th St S, Wichita, KS 67215.
