So sad that you had to leave us so soon. God has a plan for each of us and we never know what that plan is. To Debra, I am so sad for the loss of your wonderful husband. That hole will never fill, but you will learn to live despite it. Love you sister.

I'm so sorry to hear this about Brian, Debbie.  I remember working at the Pancake House with you & Brian  so many years ago. We had so much fun back then.  I miss those days.

Brian was my best friend's father. He was always looking out for me every time I saw him, and he always had wonderful life lessons for me, and always welcomed me into his home. We bonded over being in the military, and then I found out that he was working next door to me, so I would always go over to visit during my lunch breaks. He was a great person and, and an even greater friend. I'm really going to miss him

They say the most important symbol on you headstone is the dash. Because this is the legacy your leave.  Brian and Deb were an integral part of me and my children's survival during some of the darkest times we ever experienced. Even though we haven't had a lot of contact for several years, I could never forget or repay their kindness and caring.  Brian was an awesome family man and father but he also treated my girls like his own. They had a safe place to go if they needed and so did I.  Never asking for anything in return. The world was definitely a better place with him in it.  I can see him now talking smack to Hillary.  RIP Brian 😥😇❤

We met while working for Brian .... 
6 years married and still going strong with a 5 year old babygirl!!!

I knew Brian for 17 years. When I was 15 he gave me my first job. Little did he know he would have 5 of my siblings as well for their first jobs. He was always cracking jokes, singing, racing us to see who could beat him at wrapping a sandwich (we couldnt). When I had my daughter he treated her like he would any of his grandkids. He taught me soo much over the years. I will miss you Brian!!!

I'D JUST GOTTEN OUT OF PRISON AND WAS VERY NEW TO WICHITA. 
SOMEONE TOLD ME ABOUT A POSSIBLE JOB OPPORTUNITY  AT MCDONALD'S...  I WENT AND BRIAN HIRED ME... EVEN AFTER ME TELLING HIM ABOUT MY BACKGROUND. I WANTED TO STAY OUT OF SIGHT ... SELF CONSCIOUS ABOUT WHERE I'D BEEN.  BRIAN WASNT HAVING ANY OF THAT... THREW ME RIGHT UP FRONT.  AS I LOOK BACK ON IT, HE WAS PUTTING ME UP FRONT TO FACE MY FEARS MY INSECURITIES... FACE MYSELF.  I WILL NEVER FORGET HIM FOR THAT AND I'LL LOVE HIM ALWAYS FOR TREATING ME LIKE  A PERSON WHO HAD MADE A MISTAKE THAT COULD BE CORRECTED, AND NOT SOME SCURGE OF SOCIETY.  I WAS ABLE TO STAND UP AGAIN BECAUSE OF HIM.  
WHAT A HELLUVA GUY !!

I served with Brian in the US Army for over 3 years. The first two were at Ft Bragg NC. The next 15 months were at Camp Pelham in South Korea, which is where I really got to know Brian. We were both married with children & now living in the barracks along with the rest of our unit. Brian was a fun loving, down to earth family man with a great sense of humor. Being apart from our wives & children half way around the world was hard as hell, but Brian was one of a select few who became my family away from family over there. I'll always remember talking about our wives & kids while cooking out, playing cards, or having Ramen & beer at the chop house. My sincerest sympathy to Brian's wife & all of his family & friends. "No doubt" we will all see him again when it is our turn to be called home. Godspeed my friend.
