I loved you the moment you were born. It was truly a blessing for me to be in the delivery room with my sister, your mom, to witness your birth. You were difficult, loud and unruly from the beginning, but a loving child at the same time. The ultimate form of sweet and sour.
Remember how I always told you that you and Leslie were my two favorite nephews……..Of course I only had two nephews……… You eventually caught on. No one can ever deny the fact that you grew up to be smart and savvy. It was always my hope and prayer for you to channel that savviness in a productive direction……..but then Clay had to be Clay. We all know that.
I will always remember the good times, the birthdays we shared, the trips we took together to see your grandma and grandpa Cox. The joy it gave me to hunt for just the right birthday and Christmas gifts for my two boys.
When you mom and CJ moved to Newtown with my babies (you and Les), I almost couldn’t stand it. You and your brother were always on my mind and in my heart no matter where you were at.
I have missed you terribly the last few years. I hope you know that no matter what path you were on, those bumpy roads that took you away from your family, I never judged you, wanted the best for you always.
No more sorrow. No more sadness. Rest in peace.
My love for you will never die.
