Born on May 6, 1935, in Chicago, Illinois, Carol was the beloved daughter of Gustaf and Margaret Peterson. She grew up in Chicago alongside her siblings Gary, Glenn, and Joyce, and attended grammar and high school locally.
She was a devoted mother to her children: Ruth, Donna, Judy and Ron.
Carol enjoyed a vibrant life filled with travel, cruises, casinos, playing cards and cookouts. She loved spending time with people and embraced every opportunity to share stories.
She is survived by her children, Ruth, Judy and Ron; 6 grandchildren; Jamie, Andrea, Gena, Justin, Angel and Monique, 30 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.
Carol was preceded in death by her father Gustaf; mother, Margaret; siblings, Gary, Glenn, Joyce; daughter, Donna; 3 grandchildren, Michael, Jessica and Kelley.
Memorial donations may be made to Ron to help with upcoming expenses.
A celebration of life for Carol will be held Friday, September 12, 2025 at 3:00 PM, Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 West Highway 54, Wichita, KS 67209.
