Shelly grew up in Lenora, KS, graduated from FHSU, and was a social worker for the State of Kansas for many years. She was currently employed at Via Christi Hospital as an ER Care Coordinator. Shelly’s work was her passion – helping those facing misfortune and disadvantage. She was acutely sensitive to injustice and advocated against discrimination.
Her hobbies included supporting her children in junior drag racing, cheerleading, and football as they were growing up. She especially loved her grandchildren and attending their activities. Shelly expressed her love openly with her whole heart and always encouraged the best in us. We will love her and carry her spirit with us forever.
Memorials can be made in memory of Shelly at the charity of your choice. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, services for the celebration of her life will be announced at a later date.
