Charlotte May Lane Benefiel

Benefiel, Charlotte May (Lane), 88 was born in Mound City, Kansas on June 7, 1927 to Addie M. and Andrew V. Lane. She was raised in Guide Rock Nebraska and graduated from Guide Rock High School in 1945. She graduated from Wichita State University with a Masters Degree in Education. On August 11, 1946 she married the love of her life, James M. Benefiel at First United Methodist Church in Wichita, Kansas. Charlotte was called to God on Monday, August 31, 2015 IN Phoenix, AZ. She is survived, mourned and celebrated by her son Frank and Daughter-In-Law Mary of Phoenix, AZ; Daughter-In-Law Leatha Benefiel of Norfolk, AR; 4 grandchildren Wendy Kovaly and her husband Rob of Phoenix, AZ, Angela Benefiel of Conifer, CO, Charles Benefiel and his wife Alissa of Yellville, AR; Leanna Fields and her husband Tim of Oklahoma City, OK. She had 9 great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Keaton and Kensey Kovaly, Charlana, Maria, and Jaime Benefiel, and Kala, Keanna and Alyssea Fields. Brother Vaden Lane, sisters, Alice Wells and Margy Hartman of Nebraska, sister Cynthia Wilson of Kansas and sister Hope Michaels of Oregon. She was preceded in death by husband, Jim; son Phillip; brother Daryl Lane and sister Ila Fay Brown.
