Passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2026, in Wichita, Kansas at the age of 64. He was born on October 6, 1961, to Iona Faye Soehlig and Gary Dean Hickman in Springfield, Illinois. Del has been a long time resident of Wichita and he was a veteran of the United States Air Force stationed in Columbus Mississippi.
Delbert was preceded in death by his parents, Iona Faye Soehlig of Pekin, Illinois and Gary Dean Hickman of Huntsville, Alabama and sister, Cindy Wyman of Pekin, Illinois. He has left behind His wife, Sheron Kile; son, Christopher Hickman; step son, Mike Kile; daughter, Valarie Hickman; grandchildren, Ariellah Hickman, Ashton Kile; sisters, Rita McGinnes, Debra Hickman of Pekin, Illinois, Alice Boyd of Ottawa, Kansas; and several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
The family will be having a celebration of life in Wichita, date to be determined. There will be a burial in Kansas Veterans Cemetery, date to be determined. You can contact Sharon or Chris for more information.
