Delbert Lee Laymon, age 76, of Wichita, Kansas passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday, October 27, 2025. He was born May 24, 1949 in Wichita, Kansas to George Raymond Laymon and Pansy Lorene (Cook) Ball.
Delbert worked at Cessna as a CNC Machinist up to retirement. He enjoyed fishing, metal detecting, watching the Cardinals and the Kansas City Chiefs. Delbert married Isabel "Liz" Laymon and they were together since 1981.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Isabel Laymon; his infant child, Valerie; his siblings: George Laymon, Robert Richard, Dickey Dean, Debra Laymon and Betty Laymon;
Delbert is survived by his sons: David, William and Jeffrey Laymon; his daughters: Regina (Johnathan) Flowers, Julie (Mark) Curtis and Felicia (Dewayne) Wesley; many grandchildren; his sister, Phyllis Laymon-Bennett and countless nieces, nephews, cousins.
A graveside service will be held Friday, October 31, 2025 at 3:00 pm at Resthaven Gardens of Memory in Rose Garden, 11800 W. Hwy 54, Wichita, Kansas 67209.
