Deverick Ariaz, Age 30, passed away unexpectedly on May 12, 2024. He was born May 26th, 1993 in Wichita, Kansas to his loving parents, Arthur and Jackie Ariaz. Deverick was a beloved son, brother, nephew and friend. Deverick graduated from Wichita State University with his bachelor’s degree in 2017.
Deverick was wildly known for his charismatic ways, He would walk into a room and not know a single stranger. To know him, was to instantly love him. He was an influential, honored and loved man by anyone blessed enough to have had him a part of their lives. A true Enthusiast, he loved all things guns, cars, dogs and of course the gym. Deverick would often say “just living the American dream” and that he was! He was everything every young man dreamed to be. His infectious smile, laughter, knowledge and motivational talks touched everyone he met.
He is preceded in death by his beloved grandmother, Mary Ann Doerfler; grandfather, Donald Doerfler that he spent many memorable summers with learning about cars and motorcycles. As well as grandparents, Augustine Ariaz and Elizabeth Ariaz and Aunts, Janet Mayo and Gloria Ramirez.
He leaves behind his parents, Arthur and Jackie Ariaz; brother, Jeremiah Ariaz; cherished dogs, Malibu and Apollo; aunts, Dr. Jill Doerfler Iniguez and Juanita Patterson; uncles, Eric Patterson and John Ramirez; cousins, Dr. Greg and Leslie Ramirez; as well as many close friends.
A celebration of life will be held on June 15th, 2024, 1pm at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 West Highway 54, Wichita, KS 67209. Family and friends are invited to bring their race cars for a send-off in true Deverick style.
Though his life was tragically cut short, Deverick leaves a legacy of love, joy, laughter and passion that he poured into this world every day. He will be profoundly missed by all who knew him and loved him.
