My deepest sympathies to all of the family and all that loved him. Dick is one of my fondest memories of David's East. He was a good boss and a kind person. I know he will be missed.

So very sorry to hear of Dick’s passing. He was such a good man. Even though I worked for the competition at Rusty’s all those years he was always so nice when I would go into his place.... and so knowledgeable in archery.  I think he taught us all a lot. He will be sorely missed. Prayers to his family and friends. 

I’m so sorry to hear of Dick’s passing...as a long time customer and friend, I always enjoyed him so very much.   There were many, many years where Dick Christian was the only person I would let work on my bow!  Or if it was time to buy a new one, Dick’s was the only choice for me—I knew I was always in good hands with Dick.  He will be greatly missed. 

I’ll be praying for peace and comfort for Nancy, Jeff and the rest of his beautiful family.

Dick and I shared many times together on a boat triangulating and finding the white bass humps at Marion or behind his home at Wagon Wheel   Times we spent in the duck blind seem like they were yesterday.  So many great memories. Dick was the store manager at David’s Westway and I was his assistant. I learned so much from Dick, he was a true mentor. He treated people fairly and treated people with respect. He loved Black dogs and instilled that trait into me. We talked on the phone several months ago about getting together to fish. I sure wish I would have. I shouldn’t have waited to do the important stuff. Nancy, Sue and I are sending thoughts and prayers your way. Dick was a good man and a great friend and mentor. I have great memories with Dick and Nancy from the archery and tackle shop. I worked for Dick for almost 7 years, he taught me everything i know about bows.  My heart is heavy for Nancy, Cindy, and Jeff. I will be thinking of you all. Unfortunately i have Covid symptoms and still waiting on my test results.  Two things Dick always said that i use to this day. Don't matter weather you're shoveling $*** or smelling roses it all pays the same. If you hoot with the owls be ready to sore with the eagles.  He aways said i was a punk kid but turned into a fine young man. Thanks for all the memories Richard. Your friend forever

Nancy so sorry for your loss.  Dick was a great person to work for.

Dear Dick-may you rest in peace with our Lord taking care of you. 
I became acquainted with Dick over 53 years ago. You see, we married sisters. I first married Sharon and then Dick married Nancy.  
Many of my memories are related to the Bachman family things. George and Virginia were great to me all these years.
George, who had no sons, liked the outdoors. He had a Winnebago and he would load us up(me,Dick,and Dean and sometimes others including his grandson, Tim) and on Friday evening we would head to western Kansas, bright and early we were out hunting. I learned real quick that one should never challenge Dick to a shooting contest. He was deadly accurate. I saw him drop a pheasant with the gun at his hip. He taught me how to clean pheasant, quail and fish. Another time was when he hooked a car hood up to his pickup with a chain, turned it upside down and had several of us get on it while he drove us around the area, "sledding" in the snow. One sharp turn, I, being on the outside, lost hold and went rolling in the snow. Unhurt but a great time. 
I could go on and even include the Bachman holiday meals and whipped cream and the poker games later in the day, but they may be just great memories for only me.

Hi Nancy, we are so sorry to hear about Dick. We have multiple memories of Dick from shooting at your club, Lynbrooke. He was always particular about his targets and wanted to make sure that things were running smoothly and his guests were enjoying their time at the club. We send our love and prayers to you and your family.

Years and years ago Nancy and Dick were with me at a club.  Danced with Dick and he was a pretty smooth dancer.
