Edward Willems,100, of Goddard KS., passed away Dec. 17, 2015. Ed was a long time teacher in the Wichita school system and retired farmer. Ed and his wife of 66 years, Lynda, who preceded him in death, had lived in the Conway Springs area for 53 years. They were members of the First Mennonite Brethren Church for 65 years. Vocal music was his passion and he devoted many years and sang with Mennonite Mens Chorus. He sang at countless weddings and funerals. He is survived by his daughter, Patty (Bill) Bennett of Goddard; son, Leslie Willems of Wichita; grandsons, Marc (Tamara) Bennett and Jeff (Denise) Bennett; 6 great grandchildren, Ethan, Taton, Maddie, Katie, Tess and Taryn. Viewing at Resthaven 6-8 PM Mon., Dec. 21, 2015. Celebration of Life Service 10:30 AM Tues., Dec. 22, 2015 held at 1st Mennonite Brethren, 8000 W. 21st St, Wichita, KS. Burial 2:30 p.m. at Zoar Cemetery in Inman, Kansas.
