James Arthur Dalton

James Arthur Dalton, age 75, an Army Vietnam Combat Veteran went to join his Lord & Saviors open arms on Saturday August 31, 2019. James was born April 22, 1944 in Iola, Kansas to Ruth Audiss and Lowell Dalton.

James is survived by; sons Edward Calvert and Jerry Calvert; daughters Michelle (Christopher) Demitras and Debra (Lyle) Lindeman; grandchildren Jerry Calvert, Stephanie Calvert, Stephen Calvert, Angela (Rich) Graham-Owens, LaShawnda Lindeman, Nikki (James) Ross, Cathy (Chase) Robinson, Sarah Demitras, Aristotle James Demitras; great grandchildren Alyssa Graham, Valarie Graham, Lucas Owens, Antonio Cisneros, Michael Ross, Hailey Ross, Maddison Ross, James Harrison Ross, Topher Robinson and Nova Hartman.

James was preceded in death by his spouse Geraldine Dalton; father Lowell Dalton and mother Ruth Audiss; sisters Mary Ellen Mefford and Ruth Arlene Utley.

James was a decorated disabled U.S. Army Combat Veteran (Vietnam), and Retired Boeing tooling employee. He lived his life based on his faith and family.

A visitation for James will be held Thursday, September 5, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM at Devorss Flanagan-Hunt Mortuary, 201 S Hydraulic St, Wichita, Kansas 67211. A rosary service will occur Thursday, September 5, 2019 at 7:00 PM, 201 S Hydraulic St, Wichita, Kansas 67211. A Mass of Christian burial will occur Friday, September 6, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 124 N. Roosevelt, Wichita, KS 67218. A burial will occur Friday, September 6, 2019 at 2:30 PM at Calvary Cemetery, 610 S Vassar St, Wichita, KS. Please veterans come to the casket pinning.

Serving as pallbearers are Dean Mefford, Devin Mefford, Zander Goldsmith, James Ross, Sarah Demitras, Aristotle James Demitras, Nikki Ross and Cathy Robinson.
