Not having children of her own, Janice became the favorite aunt to all her nieces and nephews. She would offer them to stay a week in Wichita going to water parks, parks to play on numerous rides, ice cream, staying up late watching TV and whatever she could to entertain them, show her love and spend time spoiling them.
The Sheldon Old Settlers Picnic in August was a yearly hometown celebration Janice loved to attend. She would often take her parents to the Picnic and spend time reconnecting with former classmates and old friends.
