Jason was born and raised in Wichita, Kansas, where he spent his life surrounded by family, friends, and the community he loved. In 1992, he began a new chapter when he met and started his life with his wife, building a beautiful family together that became the center of his world. Together, they were blessed with four daughters who brought endless joy, laughter, and purpose to his life. Jason took great pride in being a father, something he always dreamed of and cherished every day.
Jason loved all things sports, especially cheering on his favorite team, the San Francisco 49ers. Whether it was a Sunday game or a big playoff night, he was always the most passionate fan in the room. He also had a special place in his heart for his Volkswagen Bug. He had a deep love for music of all kinds, and it was something that connected him to his girls and those around him, a song could bring back so many memories and bonds he shared with others. And no matter what the day brought, he could always be counted on to enjoy a Dr Pepper.
In his free time, Jason could often be found working on cars, playing video games with his closest friends, catching a new movie with family, or riding his motorcycle. He was the kind of person who would drop everything to help someone in need, always putting others before himself and doing so with a smile. His sense of humor, easygoing nature, and big heart drew people to him, and he made lasting impressions wherever he went.
He always had a smile, one that could light up any room and make everyone around him feel welcomed and cared for. It was a reflection of his easygoing nature and the joy he brought to every moment.
Jason was a devoted husband who loved and cherished his wife deeply. He was a proud father, a loyal friend, and a man who valued family above all else. He found happiness in the simple things, time spent with loved ones, laughter around the table, or a shared moment that turned into a lifelong memory. Those who knew him will forever remember his kindness, his strength, and the love he poured into everyone around him.
He is survived by his wife, Trista Young; his four daughters: Cori Young, Allison Young, Cadie Young, and Alicia Young; his grandchildren: Anthony (Tony) and Astrid; his parents, Terrence (Terry) Young and Nadine Weaver; his sisters, Christa Eskridge, Amanda (Mandy) Wilson; his half siblings, Emily Eastmond, Sarah Friend, Jacob Friend and his biological. father Bob Friend.
