

Parks, J.C., 79, retired tool & die maker passed away peacefully on April 3, 2012 at Medicalodge of Goddard. J.C. was born on July 25, 1932 in Faxon, Oklahoma to Ivy and Lucy Parks. He is preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Anna Bell, and a brother, Floyd. J.C. is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mary, and two sons, Larry and wife Cynthia of Wichita, and Gary of Denver, CO. He is also survived by three grandsons, Greg and Bryan (Sasha) of Wichita, and Jason of Denver, two brothers, Raymond and Kenneth Wayne, and sister-in-law, Karen in Oklahoma. Survivors also include three great grandsons, Skyler, Brady and Reece, and 2 great granddaughters, Mahlon and Adyson. J.C. enjoyed fishing and gardening and spent his early retirement years raising cattle, which was something he had a great passion for. J.C. was also known for always being eager to lend others a helping hand whenever needed. The family previously attended Riverside Free Methodist Church in Wichita. Visitation with family present Thursday 6 to 8 pm and funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, April 6 at Resthaven Mortuary. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Kansas Humane Society.
