Jenny graduated from Flint Hills High School in 2002. She attended Washburn University where she completed her Associates degree and later on received her Bachelor's degree from Michigan State University.
Jenny began working with T-Mobile in Wichita, KS. Throughout the course of her career, she also filled roles at the Colorado Springs, CO, and Oklahoma City, OK sites. After Eighteen years she finished her career with T-Mobile in the position of Frontline Leadership Development Consultant. She then began a career with Airgas in Tulsa, OK as a Senior Training and Development Manager. She was known to always be a dedicated mentor and was committed to the success of those around her.
Jenny was a fan of just about any form or fashion of music. Whether it be your favorite theme song from a 1980s sitcom or a one-off classic hit, chances are she knew it and would belt the vocals right alongside you. She loved to decorate her walls with paintings that were wild and full of color. Her shelves were littered with little trinkets and beautiful blown glass vases. Despite all of the professional works, the pieces most dear to her were made or given by her close friends and family. Jenny was always on the hunt for a good antique shop to peruse. She loved to take her little camper out to the lake or even the driveway would work in a pinch. Jenny was a supporter of the Jayhawks, Chiefs, and Royals and loved spending time with her friends and family.
It was not uncommon for jenny to have anyone doubled over in laughter, even in times of despair she could find a way to make herself and others smile or laugh. She was quick-witted, kind and thoughtful, so intelligent and easy to talk to. As a sister, she always wanted to make sure her siblings were taken care of; all you had to do was call and she would be there. Jenny loved her nieces and nephews dearly. She loved being an aunt most of all.
Jenny is survived by her sister Emily Simpson of Leon, KS; brother Jeffrey Simpson (Loagan) of Douglass, KS: brother Landon Gray (Carly) of Westminster, CO; her second mother Diane Colangelo of Eureka, KS; and her nieces and nephews Lucas, Payton, Anna, Calvin, and Laney.
