and retired from Cessna Aircraft Manufacturing. She was a member of Purchase-Hers, was a Girl Scout and Brownie Leader, and taught Confraternity of Christian Doctrine classes. She was also a housewife extraordinaire, supreme cook and seamstress. She was preceded by her husband of 45 years, Henry A. Guerrero; daughter, Mercedes Hukill; parents, Miguel Avila and Refugio Nee Huaracha. Jessie is survived by her daughters, Julie (Chuck) Frey, Jenny Guerrero, Anne Markwell and Chrisy (Wayne) Fagley; siblings, Ray Avila, Carmen Powell, Frank (Cecilia) Avila, Betty Trujillo, Victoria (Frank) Estrada and Virginia (Jerry) Nicholas; 10 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. March 8, 2017 at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 W. Hwy 54, Wichita KS. Celebration of Life service will be held at 11a.m. Thursday, March 9 at Pathway Church, 2001 N. Maize Rd., Wichita, KS 67212.
