Jim Schumacher

Jim Schumacher, age 75, loving father, devoted husband, and loyal friend, passed away Friday, April 23rd. Jim was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Vietnam. He worked at Beechcraft for 41 years. He was a joyful person, generous and encouraging. He understood that the great use of life is to spend it for something that will outlast it. He has given us that in his caring ways. He enjoyed reading, playing golf, traveling, watching sports and being with his family, friends, dogs and cats.

Jim leaves behind his wife of 51 years, Mary; his daughter, Christy Schumacher; his son, Joe and daughter-in-law, KC Schumacher; his brother, Eldon and wife, Mary Jo Schumacher; his sister, Vicki Wertz; his brother-in-law, Jim and wife, Amy Schreffler; 15 beloved nieces and nephews, and many friends.

We know that love is never lost; it is energy that goes into the universe and comes back to touch us again and always. Jim, you are loved!

Recitation of the Rosary will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday; Memorial Mass at 10:30 a.m. Friday, both at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 123 N. Andover Road, Andover.

Memorials may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Society at St. Joseph Parish, 132 S. Millwood Avenue, Wichita, KS 67213.
